TSA threatens to cancel all flights and shut down an airport because a 4-year old girl wouldn’t stop crying and “submit” to a patdown. Her infraction was to hug her grandmother who had not yet been screened. What’s even more interesting to me is that the mother indicates that an airport employee later tried to single out the girl on a connecting flight. I wonder why and for what purpose?
This overbearing response is yet another instance of federal “authorities” using a sledgehammer where a flyswatter would do. Imagine if this girl was 14 instead of 4. What does it demonstrate about common sense, and the relationship of our government to its citizens?
