Sound of a nuclear bomb

The Daily Mail has a link to one of the few surviving recordings of atomic testing with its actual audio.  Apparently most of the historical clips we see are dubbed with generic explosions. Note the delay between the burst and the explosive sound due to the speed of sound being much slower than the speed of light. All-in-all I was impressed, but also surprised in that it sounded like a loud thunderclap.
