Camille Paglia: The Modern Campus Cannot Comprehend Evil

Camille Paglia is an outspoken academic, one who is not shy about expressing her opinions often while barbequing a few sacred cows in the process. I count her among my favorite writers if only because she is as un-PC as I am, and I often find myself agreeing with her, her lesbianism notwithstanding.

The link below carries the reader to an article touching upon the disappearance of UVA sophomore Hannah Graham a couple of weeks ago, and the false sense of security that many young “empowered” women possess both on and off campus. She warns these young women that the world can be a dark and dangerous place.

“Too many young middleclass women, raised far from the urban streets, seem to expect adult life to be an extension of their comfortable, overprotected homes. But the world remains a wilderness. “

“Liberalism lacks a profound sense of evil — but so does conservatism these days, when evil is facilely projected onto a foreign host of rising political forces united only in their rejection of Western values. “

“But extreme sex crimes like rape-murder emanate from a primitive level that even practical psychology no longer has a language for. “

“The price of women’s modern freedoms is personal responsibility for vigilance and self-defense.”

Misled by the naive optimism and ‘You go, girl!’ boosterism of their upbringing, young women do not see the animal eyes glowing at them in the dark. They assume that bared flesh and sexy clothes are just a fashion statement containing no messages that might be misread and twisted by a psychotic. They do not understand the fragility of civilization and the constant nearness of savage nature.”

The Barren Wombs of Smart Women

The article I’m linking to below by writer Jim Goad lets go with both barrels at high-IQ western women while discussing the latest book by researcher Satoshi Kanazawa of the London School of Economics. Kanazawa is the author of The Intelligence Paradox who uses statistical analysis to prove that a woman’s IQ is inversely proportional to her desire to breed. Mr. Goad, in turn, suggests “that the world will grow dumber with every new day.” Although Goad gets a little crude in his review of Kanazawa’s book, his analysis is correct by noting that birth control and population control is mainly a issue affecting high-IQ women in liberal, Western societies who are now breeding themselves out of existence.

“The paradox is that women who are measurably more intelligent based on IQ tests are dumber in terms of evolutionary survival instincts.”

“Despite the propaganda the media uses to try and blow out your eardrums, the scientific consensus suggests that adult IQ is roughly 75-85% inherited.”

“Intelligent people have the reflective capacity to consider things such as whether they’d have the economic wherewithal to raise successful offspring, whereas dumber people tend to invest as much thought into reproduction as they do to defecation.”

“Western sophisticates claim that the world already has enough people, and many tend to see it as a matter of conscience to not breed. The problem is that hordes of Third Worlders suffer no such ethical qualms.”

“It wasn’t the case during the Victorian Era, when it wasn’t considered so déclassé for wealthy and intelligent women to have children and when it’s estimated that the mean Western IQ was nearly 14 points higher than it is now.”

“The grand irony is that by failing to breed, this new breed of woman will breed itself out of existence.”

Three heroes died in Aurora taking bullets for their girlfriends

Despite years of feminist conditioning, many men still feel a basic instinct to protect women. In this sad incident, I have yet to read of any feminists complaining, so it appears that chivalry lives on.  We now live in an age where the term “hero” has been so overused and cheapened that it takes a story such as this one to remind us that heroism requires risk, action,  and often sacrifice. These three young men are heroes in every sense of the word.

False Bravado and Feminization

Single mothers can provide much love and support to their sons, but they can’t teach them to be men. That is the premise of the following article by a Black US clergyman which you may find to be a quick and sensible read. While undoubtedly written to throw a spotlight on a contemporary problem that has devastated Black communities over the last half-century, the point and underlying problem crosses all racial boundaries.

Undoubtedly some mothers are single by choice, and others find themselves single involuntarily. However, in recent decades fathers have come to be viewed as an optional and often undesirable accessory by many women. These mothers are doing a great disservice to the emotional development of their children and have created a generation of weak, dependent, and immature young men who simply never learned how to act like men for the lack of a close male role model.
